Even parliamentary immunity, which is essentially immunity from crimes of opinion, does not reach enough and sufficient express restrictions in law against public manifestations of a racist, homophobic, or anti-Semitic nature. I do not accept it with any manifestation of the kind, nor do I believe that more restrictions are needed on freedom of expression in Brazil, than those that already make clear and even surpass parliamentary immunity against crimes of opinion.
We are certainly in a very sad moment in Brazilian national politics, which I have warned everyone that the current policy practiced in the country tended, the country tended to, with a type of harmful partisanship for several minorities that are associated with this or that policy. sectarian. Where sectarian politics tend towards sectarianism, basically, building bridges steadily is not like tearing them down with breath and fallacies.
