É de se lamentar o incêndio no estande da Comunidade da África Oriental na COP30, as primeiras notícias chegam agora aqui, mas ainda ontem lembrava uma célebre frase em toda minha graduação em Ciências Sociais que dizia que, os maiores incendiários seriam os melhores bombeiros. E como diz Jorge Ben que de repente chocado com o ocorrido e acompanhando as notícias me vem a mente o verso de Zumbi que diz: “Aqui onde estão os homens há um grande leilão.”

It’s regrettable that the East African Community stand caught fire at COP30. The first news is just arriving here, but only yesterday I was reminded of a famous phrase from my Social Sciences degree: the greatest arsonists would be the best firefighters. And as Jorge Ben says, suddenly shocked by what happened and following the news, Zumbi’s verse comes to mind: “Here where men are, there’s a great auction.”
