In the midst of everything, almost as if someone had thrown a book at me, which was an old tradition of the student movement in flaming the current ways of thinking, Freud comes to mind. To what extent can Artificial Intelligence process Freud’s reasoning, even as a processing guideline?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I mean in the sense of the first and unfortunate chapter of his hermeneutic process of natural language, that at this point no one is throwing a patent book at me when I say that natural language can and should be equated to programming language, to obtain Artificial Intelligence as a metalanguage. This in itself is not obvious. But there are other issues besides the interpretation of dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are conferences that deal with restraining impulses, which demand great energy from the entire system, but we know that if it is programmed by humans in natural language in a collaborative way, and that it requires revisionisms, we are talking precisely about the great expenditure of energy to restrain human impulses that Freud already alluded to in his conferences. There must have been, since the time I worked with rudimentary Artificial Intelligence systems in Internet Relay Chat, review groups, which is the much greater expenditure of energy, which no one has ever defined better than Jostein Gaarder when he masterfully alludes to “sugar in the nose”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By definition, the imminent risk that all humanity runs is that due to a lack of human revisionist repressive energy, we do not restrain as we restrain one by one, already with great expenditure of energy, certain human impulses in Artificial Intelligence. Perhaps this means the admission of what I proposed in my Final Course Thesis in 2009, that human natural language can be equated with programming language, in full right and hypothesis. An extensive and costly revisionism in any collaborative process especially, or not. What I would affectionately call “the weight of conscience” that every Artificial Intelligence processing must take into account. Or even, self-repressive effort, as Freud drew our attention to the difficulty and expenditure of energy that this implies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
